Deacon Jim McAllister
Deacon James (Jim) McAllister was born on October 17, 1950.
He was ordained as a Permanent Deacon for the Diocese of Fargo on May 22, 2004. Deacon Jim is a native of the area and received most of his sacraments at St. Bernard's in Oriska. Jim married his wife Bev on March 7, 1970 and have they have three children. Kris Ehlis and her husband John live in New England, ND and have four daughters. Jay and his wife Laura live in Fargo with their three children.
Sara passed away at the age of 14 months.
Deacon Jim is involved in the formation of deacons for the Fargo Diocese, he works as a Spiritual Advisor for the St. Vincent de Paul Society, and he is active in prison ministry at James River Correctional Center as well as being assigned the Deacon to the Tri-Parishes of St. Bernard's, St. Agatha and Sacred Heart.
